Therapeutic Transportation Program (TTP)
In this pilot program, vans are operated by the Psychiatric Mobile Response Team (PMRT) to transport a client who is on a psychiatric hold or to intervene on the streets to avoid the need for an involuntary hold. Utilizing specially designed vans from the outset of responding to a call for someone in crisis allows the client’s healing and recovery to begin from the first moment of contact. All vans are staffed with an expert team from LACDMH and are comprised of a clinical driver, psychiatric technician, and a peer support specialist enabled to rapidly initiate supportive case management.

NW Creative and Expressive
Northwest Creative & Expressive Arts Institute is a non-profit organization that promotes the arts as a fundamental part of life. Art is truly for everyone. This is a core value we hold dearly, and it guides us in our growth. We believe we are all connected deeply to art, through culture, heritage, tradition, and ancestry. The Expressive Arts make available all the creative arts. The opportunity to engage with more than one art form to express ourselves offers an authentic experience of depth, wholeness and integration, connecting to our humanity and the natural desire to create. Through creative arts modalities such as visual arts, movement, drama, poetry, and music, we explore the rich tapestry of our lives. Perhaps you have an inner poet, potter, or weaver. Maybe you love taking photos, collaging vision boards, playing guitar. The arts help us to understand ourselves more fully, connect with others, find solutions, and make sense of the world. And there is no need to be a formally trained artist to engage and benefit from expressive arts practices. The arts offer possibility. Possibility offers hope. We imagine; we create. The Expressive Arts also honor the learning, teaching, and practice of traditional arts. These art forms contain our ancestry; generations of creating for ceremony, storytelling, and survival. We can learn more about ourselves from exploring the traditional arts of our ancestors. We interweave our individual experiences by sharing them collectively, thereby strengthening our communities. Art can heal the great divide. There is freedom here; liberation in this expansive space of creativity and expression.
